SO THEN. TELL US WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE?
Kin stands at a whole whopping 5"2, but then again, she's only fifteen, so it's not surprising. She's still got that 'I'm in the middle of growing' stage, and thus, is both gangly and graceful all at once. Her body is thin, in a lithe, fit way. Her joints are bony and defined, though it's not because she's skinny, it's just because she's small. At a whopping 102 pounds, she's about halfway into the 'healthy weight' mark, though she looks like she could stand to gain some weight. Kin's skin is a bronzed peach color, the most sun-exposed areas dotted with dark freckles.
Her hair is rather short, in a cut that's slightly longer than her mother's hair was; it's long enough for her to put up. There are always those miscreant strands that rebel and stick up, or hang loose from her handiwork; she gave up caring long ago. Besides, the 'I just tossed up my hair' look goes well with her personality. The coloring of her hair is interesting; she inherited her uncle's hair color, but the red stands out much more. Her hair appears almost orange in the sunlight, a side effect of the red and blonde mixing and reflections of the sun jumping from multicolored strands.
Kin's face is a mixture of both of her parents, and it's obvious that she looks a lot like her Uncle Matt. She's got her father's bright green eyes, which make her look slightly Irish, even though she's entirely Japanese. Her eyelashes are the same as her hair; they shift from blonde to red and back, interweaving for interesting patterns. Her eyebrows are the same, slanted upwards for one of those faces that looks like it should be laughing. She got her uncle's mouth, as well, that almost coy smirk that can easily determine a guilty look on her face. Her real smile is beautiful, even if she does have two chipped teeth and a gap between her two front teeth.
Kin's clothing is usually relative to the meaning of her name; 'golden.' She wears warm colors, and at some point in her life, she was given a pair of goggles by her Uncle Tai. She loves them, and though she rarely wears them over her eyes, she constantly wears them as a sort of necklace. When she was a toddler, she was enamored with pictures of her Uncle Matt as a rock star, which let to her love for buckles and odd clothing. Her favorite outfit is seen in the picture above; her trademark yellow shorts, an orange mid-riff showing tank top, and her armbands. Her shoes vary from day to day... She's got a pair of boots that she really likes, but she also has sneakers and sandals that she wears regularly.
Features of note for Kin: she inherited her mother's weak immune system. She gets sick easily. The only other thing that's noticeable about her is that her ears are pierced five times a piece... Though she doesn't always wear the earrings.
OKAY, WHY DON'T YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR FABULOUS SELF?
- trusting;
Kin is, unfortunately, a very trusting person. She doesn't look at someone and see badness... She sees another potential friend. This causes her to get into all sorts of trouble, as you would imagine.
- thougtful;
When someone that Kin knows gets mad or upset or distressed, she goes out of her way to cheer them up. She always remembers birthdays, and she's always there to start the chorus of the song. She loves to make people smile.
- spontanious;
Kin likes to surprise people. This usually is achieved by her sneaking up on people to scare them, or occasionally just picking someone random and doing something to get their attention. She's sort of a spaz....
- hopeless;
Not in any way that she might lose hope, but rather... She's a hopeless romantic. She's constantly dreaming of a man on a beautiful white horse to come rescue her... And he's usually blonde with a guitar. She's never really grown out of her rockstar stage, like most girls do. She writes little books, like her daddy does, but hers are much more poorly written and they're usually very cheesy, about musicians and lost love.
- happy-go-lucky;
Nothing ever seems to upset her. She's got this completely optimistic look on life, and it continues to make her smile. She usually has a smile on her face, and is well known for skipping and whistling.
- guilty;
Kin has a very, very guilty conscious. It's sometimes a hassle; she can't keep quiet about anything. In her childhood, her partner was prone to pranks... Kin was a major hinderance to that, because she'd like to tell the pranked person either before hand or afterwards. Talk about a buzz kill... She also gets upset when she realizes that she's upset someone.
- hopeful;
This is her crest, so it's obviously one of the most important parts of her personality. In her case, it's her most obvious cardinal trait. She's the one that will yell about people giving up too soon, she's the one that will continue to stand and watch the wreckage, waiting for their fallen comrade to emerge. She's the one that remains happy and cheery even when everyone else has given up hope. She's the one that says “I hope!” more than any other words.
- eager;
Kin is always eager to do something. Even if it's hard work, if it'll help someone, she'll do it. Even if it's unpleasant... She might make a face about jumping waist deep in swamp water, but inside, she's happy to do it. She loves helping other people.
- selfish;
Sometimes she just doesn't think of other people. It's not so much that she's consciously selfish, but sometimes she just doesn't consider that other people are impacted by what she says and does.
- bright;
Kin isn't the smartest tack in the box, but she's by no means dumb. She's had tutors over the years that have helped keep her at the average intelligence that she'd be at in the human world. She's very good at riddles and puzzles.
INTERESTING. AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR FAMILY LIFE?
Snow storms in Tokyo aren't that unusual. Especially in December. However, when you're screaming your lungs out, your husband is nowhere to be found, there's fifteen feet of snow on the ground, and your fourteen year old neighbor is trying to drive you to the hospital with your three year old sons in the car, things get a little more... chaotic than usual. So you can imagine that poor Kari was a little flustered when all of that went down. It had been an easy pregnancy compared to the first few; that was the good part. The actual birth, however, was hell!
After nine hours of torturous labor, T.K finally reappeared, and things seemed to calm down after that. He kept the boys busy while coaching her through, just like they'd practiced. Two hours later, Kin Michiko Ishida was welcomed into the world with a smack on the bottom. She was a nightmare baby; when she was healthy, she was loud and obnoxious, and when she was sick, she was very, very sick. It was discovered early on that she had inherited her mother's immune system. She developed pneumonia when she was only a month old, testing her hold on her life. By a miracle, she managed to survive, but her family treated her like glass after that.
Kin was three when she started her fascination with her Uncle Matt. She'd been sitting in her mother's lap, looking at photo albums. With her developing vocabulary, she first asked who, then why, then said one word; Kari always thought she'd heard it from her brothers. “Cool.” The next time she saw Matt, she stared at him, then went and dug out the photo albums, then compared the picture with the man, then squealed and started babbling like only a child can. She attached herself to his leg and wouldn't release him for the rest of the day.
Just as a joke, for her fifth birthday, she was brought one of his old CD's... T.K ended up 'losing' it because he said “I heard that enough as a kid! She's been listening to it on repeat for a week!” It was then that she started talking about becoming a rock star. Unfortunately, she got sick again soon after; another long battle with pneumonia ensued, putting her in the hospital for several weeks. She still continued to dream, but with her sickness, part of her voice went. The doctors said that it would be a miracle if she ever fully recovered it; to this day, her voice is more full than it was, but still raspy.
Kin was six when she and her brothers were 'abducted.' She was sick, so she doesn't remember much of the entire ordeal; she only remembers waking up in the digital world and feeling a million times better. Apparently, according to some random digimon she doesn't remember, her sickness had been deleted on it's way across. She's managed to catch other things multiple times since then, but they usually go away quickly enough.
After about two years in the Digital World, Kin joined Baihumon's faction. She's been there since, doing her training like a good girl, but she has yet to get into any real battles.

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE
Why was it that she always got her random bursts of energy in the middle of the night?
It was hard work for someone as clumsy as her to sneak out of the cabin and find one of the obstacle courses that she hadn't been on a million times. But after an hour, she'd found one, and her energy was still going wild, so she was going at it. Jump from peg to peg, don't fall in the mud. (The pegs were the size of a quarter.) Crawl over the vines, don't fall in the mud. (Vines were loose...) Dive through the loops, don't touch the edges. (They're made of sand paper... Rough on skin, y'know?) Tuck and roll into the tunnel, get through it quickly. Then, up the tree, to the next tree, drop down, tap the timer. Best time was a minute twelve... She got a minute fifteen.
She groaned, plopping down on the grassy area and leaning against a tree. She'd been quiet up to that point, other than the obvious sounds when she inhaled and when she jumped from place to place. She'd managed to get through without getting any mud on her... But then again, no one was watching. No one was there. She'd made a name for herself as a ditz, and keeping that title was rather hard.
She wasn't as clumsy as everyone thought. She made herself look bad so that one, her partner wouldn't be sent to fight, and two, other people would think better of themselves. Tomorrow, if they came to this course, she had already planned where she'd fall, that she'd miss the tunnel the first time, that it would take her thirty seconds to climb the tree. She'd make a fool of herself, to keep her partner safe and make others feel well about themselves.
She'd been doing it for years... She was planning on 'growing out of her rut' soon. Only her brothers knew that she was actually not half bad... And they wouldn't tell on her. She hoped. ”Ah...” The sound was raspy against her throat... She talked a lot, but it still made her uncomfortable when she was the only one listening. In the distance, a stick cracked, and she looked up, eyes trying to peer into the darkness of the trees and make out the approaching figure. Ah...
Numemon. She should have known. The things were every where. Her heart going a million a minute, she closed her eyes, giving another raspy sigh.
